Berne is a custom slab-serif typeface, designed over a semester at Northeastern University. It draws inspiration from Serifa and Glypha and is named for the home of their creator, Adrian Frutiger. Drawing and digitizing a typeface from scratch gave me an enormous appreciation for their craft and taught me more about the ins and outs of letterforms than I would have thought possible.
